Marios Argiros is a Senior Intermediate Level Iyengar Teacher who combines teaching yoga with his work as a Classical musician. He trained at the Manchester and District Iyengar Yoga Institute and makes regular visits to India to study with the Iyengar family at the Ramamani Memorial Institute in Pune. He has also been inspired by the teaching of Jeanne Maslen, Jawahar Bangera and Firooza Ali among others. He teaches regular classes at the Manchester Iyengar Yoga Institute and is increasingly invited to give workshops in the UK and Europe. In 2005 he began teaching yoga holiday courses in Crete and values enormously the opportunity to spend several months in Greece each summer studying and teaching yoga. Marios is qualified and fully insured to a level which enables him to undertake remedial work with injuries and chronic conditions, and finds that these students benefit enormously from the precision of Iyengar Yoga. Since a serious car accident in December 2009 he has experienced at first hand the power of yoga to heal and strengthen.
